These are the books we are reading this half term.
We have been on a walk around the village looking for signs of Autumn. When we got back to school we made our own 'Leaf Men'.
We loved reading and acting out the story of 'The Train Ride'. We sequenced, retold and wrote our own stories. Reception wrote their own list of things they would pack in their suitcase and a list of things they might see on their journey. We set up our own train station and learned about the history of the railways and how George Stephenson contributed to this.
In Geography, we have been learning there are 7 continents. This is our favourite song. We have also been learning that the United Kingdom is made up of 4 countries, England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. We know that London is the capital city of England. We have thought about the transport we would use to get to the different capital cities from St Teath.

We have had great fun this Christmas. We have performed our nativity (with Willow Class), 'A Bundle of Joy' to three packed audiences. We were amazing! We have thought about the importance of Christmas and what we do to celebrate it. We have shopped in the 'secret room' for presents, and made cards and decorations for our families.
