Oak Autumn Term 2024

We are looking forward to an exciting term!

Our class teacher is now Mr Bennetts and our fantastic class TA is Cath. We have a busy term ahead as we look forward to lots of wonderful learning about the Romans, The Rhine, The Mediterranean, The family of Jesus, Electricity, How computer systems work, invasion games, place value and addition, fiction and non fiction writing and many other exciting lessons.

Reading is an essential life long skill that unlocks so many opportunities. It is essential for all children to be fluent with this skill. In Oak class we try to develop a love of reading, with chances to access the school library every week, reading in class daily and guided reading sessions. We ask that children read at home for a minimum of 10 minutes a day for 5 days a week. Our English is also taught through reading, as part of this we are currently reading:
