We're Going on a Dinosaur Hunt!
We had great fun on our dinosaur hunt. We swished through the grass, Mrs Lane squirted us with water, stumbled through the trees and swirled through a snowstorm. We even found six dinosaur eggs which we are looking after in the classroom. I wonder when they will hatch?
We've made clay fossils.
We used pastels to create a background and added dinosaur silhouettes.
We are learning about the great fossil hunter, Mary Anning. We sequenced the events in her life along a timeline.
We had great fun being 'history detectives'. We had to match the statements to the evidence.
We are learning about 'Animals; including humans' in science. We had great fun guessing the animal by answering questions about their characteristics.
In science, we have been learning to sort animals by what they eat.
We know that carnivores eat mainly meat, herbivores eat mainly plants and omnivores eat both.
In music, we have had great fun learning about rhythm and pitch in our unit 'How does music tell stories about the past?'.
We loved sharing the stories we wrote with our 'Book Buddies' in Sycamore Class.
In maths, we investigated the size of dinosaurs!
We have had great fun doing judo and karate. Look at our moves!
Look at our amazing dinosaur collages! We designed our picture. Next we painted lots of paper different colours. Then we drew and cut out our dinosaur . Finally we collaged the dinosaur and the background.
Spring 2
This half term we are exploring the 'The Amazing Rainforest'. Our big question is, 'What would happen to the world without the rainforest?'

We had a great time visiting Eden! We learnt all about plants and got to visit the rainforest. We even got to hold the biggest seed in the world!
We went on a virtual trip to The Amazon Rainforest.
We explored the school garden looking for flowers.
We can name the different parts of a flower.
We had fun celebrating St Piran's day. We dressed in white, black and gold, danced the Furry Dance and made flags. We also listened to the story of St Piran.
We loved dressing up as our favourite characters and sharing our favourite books with our friends.

In Computing we are learning to use an art program to paint pictures.
