Spring term
The Spring term in Sycamore has been incredibly exciting!
In science, we have been working with the 2 minute foundation who are a local conservational group. We have been learning about the importance of looking after our countryside and beaches, the harm that plastic does to the environment and wildlife and how to prevent harm to our planet. This has involved creating awareness signs out of micro plastics and doing a litter pick around the school.Sycamore 2 minute foundation Science
In music, we have been working on a 6 week project with glockenspiels. Being introduced to certain notes, we have been able to learn some songs and perform them to the school in the music assembly.

In art we have been studying the work of Beatriz Milhazes who has made some unusual artwork. After looking at the work, we had a go at creating our own.
We have also been looking at shading in monotone and colour, focusing on the effect that light can have on objects.
