The Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum
At St. Teath we recognise that every child is a competent learner who can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured. We know that children develop in individual ways and at varying rates. We observe how each child learns to gain an understanding of the characteristics they develop to become effective learners.
We use questioning, praise and encouragement to develop a positive attitude to learning and high self-esteem. We ensure that our environment and delivery of the curriculum incorporates the three characteristics of effective teaching and learning - playing and exploring, active learning and creating and thinking critically.
We follow Development Matters to design an engaging and challenging curriculum for our children, as well as following their own interests. For more information click the links below (Please see our Policies page for our EYFS policy):

We have recently merged with our Pre School and have developed 'Progression pathways' to show how we carefully plan and sequence learning opportunities. This enables all staff to have a clear vision for each stage of development.
